2008 Election

Yay! We finally have a new president. BARACK OBAMA! I think these next 4 to 8 years could be a real turn around for us. To everyone who voted for him, YOUUU ROCKKK!

Mid-November

It seems like almost forever that I have actually written in this blog, but have been all over Facebook and Myspace. I am a computer-holic.

I must say I cannot BELIEVE that it is almost Thanksgiving, and that Cross Country season happens to be over, and that it is almost Christmas, which I am excited for.

This year has been different, I must say, for I have completely reinvented myself, and am now a whole lot smarter. I am in honors LA/SS yet I have to retake algebra ): but my algebra class ROCKS and I guess it is an easy A.

My social studies teacher on the other hand......looks IDENTICAL to Sarah Palin, and lost all my papers, so on my report card it looked like I had turned nothing in. But she fixed it, and now I have an A. Though I have never gotten straight As on a report card, I would love to someday. And what the heck, I might as well make it this year!

With money being tight this year for christmas, I think I will have notes and candy bars be my giveaways. I think I will get presents for my immediate family, and then "candy grams" for my friends and extended family.

August Rush

It has been a rush to get to August......it seems like summer has flown by. And I can't believe it's August already.

I really don't want school to start.

But once it does I will probably be glad to see my friends again.

That's all

Girls Weekend

This weekend, I am happy to say is a chicks-only weekend. The men are leaving town and the girls are in da house.

We are going to Seattle tonight to see an opera and to dinner and to shop. I just have to get through the morning.

So for one weekend, this means: no dirty socks on the couch, no video game controllers all over the living room, no toast crumbs in the butter dish, no half eaten sandwiches or half-drinken sodas shoved to the back of the refrigerator because somebody didn't wanna finish them.

Girls Only. Girl movies, girl tunes, clean house.

A message to Missy: I wish you were here.

Home Coming!

Tonight is my first night back in 10 days and I can't even begin to explain the feeling of smelling the smell of your house for the first time in what seems like ages. It is H-E-A-V-E-N.

Anyway, I am back at home in K-Town and quite happy about it.

Things I Like

Since I am an optimistic person, and not somebody who sits around complaining, I have decided to make a list of stuff I like:

1. California! (forget the gas prices and the traffic) it is my favorite state. Why? Because I was born there and like the beach and am a California girl.......

2. Chocolate.

3. Being in the sunshine. I love what the sunshine does to you. Gives you a dark healthy tan glow.....and I mean a REAL tan. Not a fakey orange spray tan that looks spotty but a golden brown that gets even browner around your knees and elbows, instead of getting yellow around your knees and elbows. There is some satisfaction in that. Also it makes your hair a beautiful golden blonde that not even the most expensive salon could ever give you.

4. Chick Flicks. Theres a certain satisfaction in those lovey-dovey movies that make you cry and laugh at the most random times.

5. Tension. Honestly. Not between people you love and certainly not involving myself hahaa. But it's pretty fun to watch people on TV battle it out over something stupid.

6. Spongebob. Really, it may be annoying as heck, but whoever thought of that whole show was actually pretty clever.

7. Surfing. Love it. Totally RAD! JK..........theres something extraordinary about riding a foamy wave into shore and sliding on the sand. Unfortunately nobody can do that every time. In fact mostly you have to fall headfirst into a wave before you can even get close to shore.

8. Tabloids. Us, People, InTouch, my favorite. Love them. I stand in line at the grocery store reading them as I wait for the cashier to finish scanning stuff. I love walking into a waiting room full of them.

9. I love things that smell good: Perfume, body spray, pretty soaps. That's why I love the store Anthropologie because everything in it smells delightful. I love being around people that smell good. And the smell of Axe doesn't bother me. Bothers most people, but not me for some reason.

10. Girls defying female rules. Rosie the Riveter, girls (like my friend Amanda) who play on a boy's baseball team and don't care what anyone else thinks. People that are cool like that.
